Steve Jacobs is the brother of Maureen, the widower of Mrs. Jacobs, father of Emily and a supporting character in the Pegasus series.
He is currently a Police officer, with the book not stating if he had quit or not. He does follow Emily on her adventures in the third and fourth book but he doesn't really do much as he is usually left behind to help.
